International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today's uncertain and complex environment. Coaches honer the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

* Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
* Encourage client self-discovery
* Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
* Hold the client responsible and accountable
ICF's Code of Ethics

Coaching is an intentional relationship where a coach supports a client in developing vision and goals utilizes multiple strategies to empower the client to use their personal power to discover their own solutions. The nature of a coaching relationship is empowerment and accountability. It is assumed that clients desire to see real change in their lives. The coach, as a change expert, empowers clients to take control of their lives, fulfill their potential, and reach their goals. Coaches challenge, stretch, push, and hold clients accountable and focus to the process of the change.

WHAT IS COACHING?

WHAT IS NOT COACHING?

Coaching is not replacing consultancy, therapy, mentoring, supervision or advising.

During the coaching process the Coach does not expressing any opinion, advice, life experience, comments, confirmations, agreement or non-agreement. Coaching is only focused on powerful questioning which allows the Client to think out of the box from more perspectives then he would be ever able to do by himself.
Professional Coach does not manipulate the Client to think or act in the direction which is convenient for the Coach.

Coaching does not guarantee the results itself, it is the process which supports the Client to discover her/his own steps to reach her/her goals. The responsibility for results is fully on the Client side.

The Coach never underestimate the Client, he strongly believes that the Client is capable to take control over his own life and all steps leading to her/his better future. The Coach is offering support and trust, motivation and focus.

 WHY DO YOU NEED A COACH?

YOU FEEL YOU NEED A CHANGE
You are going through a transition period or you want to change something in order to be happy and successful but you are not sure what exactly it should be and how you would process the change. To ask for the support from the Coach might be the right thing.
